Technology king Microsoft Corp. (MSFT) bid 44.6 billion dollars in cash and stock to acquire Yahoo (YHOO) today. Microsoft’s chief executive Steve Ballmer said that they have a great respect for Yahoo and along with MSN, they could offer an increasingly exciting mix in the search engine world. Yahoo was not available for comment but I’m sure that we will be hearing quite a bit from the media scene in the next couple of days.Yahoo shares rose 56% to 29.65 in premarket trading on Friday following the announcement of the potential Yahoo sale.
